I’m a software engineer. I work on systems, data infrastructure, security, privacy and lately - a lot of AI (roughly - from when GPT started writing horrible poems. Does that still count as lately?).
Work
I run Fakta, which monitors what AI assistants and AI search say about a brand and flags where it’s wrong (it’s pre-launch - turns out they get quite a bit wrong).
I created and still run FOI Security, a digital-rights resource in Georgia. It won the Democracy Tech Entrepreneur Award at the Copenhagen Democracy Summit in 2026.
At Transparency International Georgia I worked on companyinfo.ge, myparliament.ge, tendermonitor.ge and fixmystreet.ge.
I digitized and analyzed Georgian election data and published the first machine-readable election datasets in the country. There is a short account in my DataFest 2021 speaker bio.
Later I was a founding engineer at LocalInsights, and an Engineering Team Lead at 360dialog, a Meta business partner.
Investigation
Georgia has had a cable to Bulgaria since 2008 that bypasses Turkey and Russia. Ten to twenty percent of the country’s mobile internet comes through it. Blocking its sale on security grounds pushed the operators onto the Turkish and Russian routes instead. I talked about that in Forbes Georgia.
I’ve also given my input on facial recognition and protest surveillance.
